TUESDAYS, February 23-March 23, 6:00-8:00pm - Lenten Dinner, Teaching and Compline. The Lenten Series, "Inside the Heart of the Cross: Lives of Sacrifice and Transformation" begins. Paul consistently presents the model of the cross as an ethical pattern for life ito the churches he founded. Come hear how those in our midst build up the community by living this pattern and explore what is possible for you and the community of St. Francis.
WEDNESDAYS - 6:00pm - CONTEMPLATIVE HOLY COMMUNION
- now in the Chapel of the Resurrection. "Come and fill our
hearts with your peace. You alone O Lord are holy." The chanting fills the chapel - we are gathered to celebrate Holy Communion in a quiet and
comtemplative manner. This is a service of song, silence, word and table. Then we move into the world to offer what God has offered us. Join us and
breathe in the peace that passes understanding.
SUNDAY, March 14 - HELP FOR HAITI - Rev. Faith's niece works in the US Embassy there and can receive and distribute items.
Please join in this opportunity to help those in need in Haiti. Please bring your items
to the Parish Hall and leave them in the marked boxes. Items will be shipped the week of March 14. Money may be donated for supplies and postage - make checks
payable to St. Francis Rector's Discretionary Fund, memoed for Haiti Relief. Most needed items are:

SUNDAY, March 14 - OUTREACH EASTER BASKETS - Shopping bags, with grocery lists attached, will be in the Parish Halll. Please sign your name on the sign-up sheet next to the number of the bag. There are envelopes on the bulletin board for donations. Mark it for Outreach and drop it in the offertory plate or take it to the office. Bags are to be returned on or before March 28, Palm Sunday. We will be delivering food to some twelve families and six elderly persons. We encourage your participation in delivering after church, especially if you have children. Thank you for participating in this project.

HOLY WEDNESDAY, March 31
Easter flowers may be ordered as a thank offering or memorial - the donation may be any amount. They will adorn the altar area on Easter day and afterwards may be planted or delivered to shut-ins. Please make checks payable to St. Francis altar Guild. Include the following information: your name and the name of the person the flowers are given for. Also specify whether it is a gift in memory of someone or a thank offering.

GUARDIAN ANGELS - Once again in Lent we will join with Trinity Espiscopal Church in the Guardian Angel program, pairing teenagers with adults for a journey of prayer and support during Lent. For more information please contact Rev. Faith Bledsoe (575-0441) or Patty McLeon.
Nursery attendant wanted for Sunday mornings, 7:45am-12:00noon and special events throughout the year. Children are birth to 5 years of age. Safety and compassionate care are priorities. All those age 9-99 are invited to join the corps of St. Francis acolytes. These vital ministers assist with liturgy, carrying the cross and torches and setting the table for Holy Eucharist.
Greeter duties include welcoming visitors and parishioners to the Sunday service. Following the service dismissal, greeters accompany visitors to the Parish Hall for coffee and introduce them to parishioners. Greeters should be in the narthex ten minutes prior to service time
Usher duties include maintaining comfortable climate in the sanctuary, distributing bulletins, ringing the bell, counting attendees for the service, passing the offering plates, assisting communicants at the altar and "straightening up" the sanctuary area after the service. Ushers must be in the narthex fifteen minutes prior to service time.
